Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. Her name can be spelled by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, receiving rave reviews from music blogs as well as the press. Half the World Away - by Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two notable covers that the singer has created. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway by her, gave the song a boost of recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard within her loft and being fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to use music for development of her own, not for the purpose of making a living or as a hobby. She began to write her own compositions. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. She decided to start performing her songs publicly when her mother suggested that they might help others not to gain fame with her work but to make people see around them realize their own importance and how they can affect the world. The piano was first played by her when she was only six and began writing music when she was nine. The family did not be aware until 14. Aurora has never imagined being famous. The only thing she loves is writing songs. The songs she creates are the way that she feels any thing.
